Intuitive Healing vs. Talk Therapy: How They Can Complement Each Other

People often ask whether intuitive/energy-based work is ‘instead of’ therapy. In my experience, the most supportive approach is often ‘both/and’—depending on what you’re moving through.

What talk therapy is great for

  • Understanding patterns and history

  • Building insight and language for your experience

  • Learning coping strategies and relational skills

What intuitive/energy work can support

  • Settling the nervous system and creating internal space

  • Working with what’s present in the body right now

  • Supporting integration when you feel ‘stuck in your head’

How they can work together

Therapy can help you make sense of your story. Somatic and energetic approaches can help your system feel safe enough to release what words can’t always reach. Together, they can create both understanding and embodied change.

A respectful note

I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, and I’m not a replacement for licensed mental health care. If you’re in crisis or need clinical support, therapy and medical care are the right place to start.

Curious what’s right for you?

If you’d like, we can talk about what you’re experiencing and what kind of support would be most helpful right now.
